The messiah, king and priest
Oportet illum regnare, donec ponat omnes inimicos sub pedibus eius (1 Cor 15, 25).
He must reign, having put all His enemies under His feet (1 Cor 15:25).

The Lord said to my Lord: Sit thou at my right hand:

Until I make thy enemies thy footstool.

Praise to the true God
Conversi estis ad Deum a simulacris servire Deo vivo et vero (1 Th 1, 9).
You have turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God (1 Thess 1:9).
Non nobis, Dómine, non nobis, † sed nómini tuo da glóriam * super misericórdia tua et veritáte tua.
Not to us, O Lord, not to us; but to thy name give glory.
Quare dicent gentes: * «Ubi est Deus eórum?».
For thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake: lest the Gentiles should say: Where is their God?
