Futura Gloria iustorum (Sap 3,7-9)
The future glory of the righteous.
Iusti fulgebunt sicut sol in regno Patris eorum (Mt 13,43)
Fulgébunt iusti *et tamquam scintíllæ in arundinéto discúrrent;
The righteous will shine, and they will sparkle like the fires that run through the reeds.
iudicábunt natiónes et dominabúntur pópulis, * et regnábit Dóminus illórum in perpétuum.
They will judge the nations, and they will rule over the peoples, and their Lord will reign forevermore.
Qui confídunt in illo, intéllegent veritátem, * et fidéles in dilectióne acquiéscent illi, quóniam grátia et misericórdia est sanctis eíus, * et visitátio eléctis eíus.
Those who trust in Him will have the understanding of the truth, and those who are faithful to Him will adhere to Him through love, for the gift and peace are for His chosen ones.
proptérea in terra sua duplícia possidébunt, * lætítia sempitérna erit eis.
Quia ego Dóminus díligens iudícium, * ódio habens rapínam et iniquitátem;
et dabo opus eórum in veritáte * et fœdus perpétuum fériam eis.
Et sciétur in géntibus semen eórum, * et germen eórum in médio populórum;
omnes, qui víderint eos, cognóscent illos, * quia isti sunt semen, cui benedíxit Dóminus.
