Léctio Epístolæ ad Hebrǽos (10,19-25)
Habéntes, fratres, fidúciam in intróitum Sanctórum in sánguine Iésu, quam initiávit nobis viam novam et vivéntem per velámen, id est carnem suam, 21 et sacerdótem magnum super domum Dei, accedámus cum vero corde in plenitúdine fídei, aspérsi corda a consciéntia mala et ablúti corpus aqua munda; teneámus spei confessiónem indeclinábilem, fidélis enim est, qui repromísit; et considerémus ínvicem in provocatiónem caritátis et bonórum óperum, non deseréntes congregatiónem nostram, sicut est consuetúdinis quibúsdam, sed exhortántes, et tanto magis quanto vidétis appropinquántem diem.
Having therefore, brethren, confidence in the entering of the Holies in the blood of Christ: which he hath dedicated to us a new & living way by the veil, that is, his flesh, and a high Priest over the house of God, let us approach with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from evil conscience, and our body washed with clean water. Let us hold the confession of our hope undeclining (for he is faithful that hath promised) and let us consider one another unto the provocation of charity and of good works: not forsaking our assembly as some are accustomed, but comforting, and so much the more as you see the day approaching.
