The world is waiting for the Church to become a society of praise once again

Feria V 25 Iunii 2026, Hebdomada XII per annum,

Updates June 2026

Web:

  • Content can be displayed in either Latin/French or Latin/English (some content needs to be updated; see the next point).
  • Option to suggest a translation or improvement to the GABC score or the French or English translation by simply double-clicking anywhere on the displayed liturgical page.
  • Choice of displaying the Antiphonale Romanum, the Antiphonale Monasticum, or the Liturgia Horarum (liturgy read without singing). Note: The texts and order of the antiphons and responses may differ between the read liturgy and the sung liturgy.
  • Psalm cadences have been added to aid in singing (in bold and italics) based on the preceding antiphon in the Office.
  • Common prayers have been added, some of which include Gregorian chant scores.
  • Texts from the Rule of St. Benedict (daily excerpt) and Dom Delatte’s commentary (in French only; no English translation available at this time) in the right-hand column.
  • Texts from Dom Delatte’s commentary on the Gospel of the day (in French only; no English translation available at this time) in the right-hand column.
  • Display of the ordo for the entire month (select the month’s name in the top bar of the calendar).
  • And as always: export of content in docx format (Microsoft Word) with automatic page layout, including a division of the musical scores that conforms to the width of standard liturgical books (Graduale Romanum, Antiphonale Monasticum, Antiphonale Romanum) to facilitate use when preparing for celebrations. The advantage of DOCX over PDF is that this format allows for editing and modifications and makes it easier to customize or add other elements. The downloaded DOCX file is designed to be printed as an A5 booklet (an option available after PDF export on most modern printers).

Additionally, in the smartphone app “https://app.societaslaudis.org”:

  • Help with reading the musical notation of any score with a double-tap, accompanied by the melody played on a light positive organ sound (for those who haven’t yet mastered musical notation). This feature does not claim to reflect a technically accurate interpretation but can be a great help to beginners.
  • Improvements to the messaging feature (whenever a member approves content, the “Laus perennis” tab is updated in real time).
  • Fixes for several bugs.
