At that time: it came to pass, when the multitudes pressed upon Jesus to hear the word of God, and himself stood beside the lake of Genesareth. Vere dignum et iustum est, æquum et salutáre, nos tibi semper et ubíque grátias ágere: Dómine, sancte Pater, omnípotens ætérne Deus: per Christum Dóminum nostrum.
Verily, it is right and just, fair and salutary for us, evermore and everywhere, to give thee thanks: Lord, Holy Father, eternal and almighty God, through Christ our Lord.
Ipse enim nascéndo vetustátem hóminum renovávit, patiéndo delévit nostra peccáta, ætérnæ vitæ áditum prǽstitit a mórtuis resurgéndo, ad te Patrem ascendéndo cæléstes iánuas reserávit.
It is He who, by His birth, renewed humanity’s decay; through His suffering, He washed away our sins; He opened the door to eternal life by rising from the dead; and by ascending unto thee, the Father, He opened the gates of heaven.
