In those days, Mary rising up, went unto the hill country with speed into a city of Juda. And she entered into the house of Zacharie, and saluted Elizabeth. And it came to pass; as Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the infant did leap in her womb. And Elizabeth was replenished with the Holy Ghost: and she cried out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord doth come to me? For behold as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the infant in my womb did leap for joy. And Blessed is she that believed because those things shall be accomplished that were spoken to her by our Lord. And Mary said: MY Soul doth magnify our Lord: And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; for behold from hence forth all generations shall call me blessed. Because he that is mighty hath done great things to me: and holy is his name. And his mercy from generation unto generations, to them that fear him. He hath shewed might in his arm: he hath dispersed the proud in the conceit of their heart. He hath deposed the mighty from their seat, & hath exalted the humble. The hungry he hath filled with good things: and the rich he hath sent away empty. He hath received Israel his child, being mindful of his mercy, As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham and his seed for ever. And Mary tarried with her about three months: and she returned into her house.

Blessed art thou, O Virgin Mary, who didst bear the Creator of all things, thou didst bring forth who made thee, and remainest a virgin forever.

After this, standing in the center of the altar, facing the people, extending and then joining his hands, he said:
Pray, brethren, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father.
Populus surgit et respondet:
The people rise and reply:
May the Lord accept the sacrifice at thy hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.

PRÆFATIO II DE BEATA MARIA VIRGINE
Second Preface of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Ecclesia, verbis Mariæ, laudes Deo persolvit
The Church, through the words of Mary, offers praise to God
Vere dignum et iustum est, æquum et salutáre, in ómnium Sanctórum provéctu te mirábilem confitéri, et potíssimum, beátæ Vírginis Maríæ memóriam recoléntes, cleméntiam tuam ipsíus grato magnificáre præcónio.
It is verily fitting and just, right and salutary to give thee thanks, Lord, and to proclaim Thy wonders through the perfection of Thy saints; and, especially as we commemorate the Blessed Virgin Mary, to exalt Thy mercy above all else by drawing inspiration from her song of praise.
Vere namque in omnes terræ fines magna fecísti, ac tuam in sǽcula prorogásti misericórdiæ largitátem, cum, ancíllæ tuæ humilitátem aspíciens, per eam dedísti humánæ salútis auctórem, Fílium tuum, Iesum Christum, Dóminum nostrum.
Verily, Thou hast done great works in the far corners of the earth, and Thou hast shown Thy mercy throughout the ages, when, looking upon the humility of Thy handmaid, Thou gave us through her the Author of human salvation, Jesus Christ, Thy Son and our Lord.
Per quem maiestátem tuam adórat exércitus Angelórum, ante conspéctum tuum in æternitáte lætántium.
Through whom the choirs of angels eternally praise Thy glory, rejoicing in Thy presence.
Let us join our voices with theirs in singing Thy praises, saying:

The following blessings may be used, at the priest's discretion, at the end of the celebration of Mass, the Liturgy of the Word, the Office or the sacraments. The deacon, or failing that, the priest himself, pronounces the invitation:
Inclináte vos ad benedictiónem.
Bow down for the blessing.
Deinde sacerdos, manibus super populum extensis, dicit benedictionem, omnibus respondentibus:
Then the priest, with hands extended over the people, pronounces the blessing, all responding:
Amen.
Amen.
Amen.
May God, who in His goodness willed to redeem mankind by giving birth to the Blessed Virgin Mary, deign to enrich you with His blessing. r. Amen.

May thee always and everywhere feel the protection of her through whom thou hast deserved to receive the author of life. r. Amen.
