Et múlier fugit in desértum, ubi habet locum parátum a Deo.
The temple of God opened in heaven, and the ark of his covenant was seen in his temple; and a great sign (wonder) appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. And another sign (wonder) appeared in heaven: a great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems. And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and cast them unto the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she had given birth, he might devour her son.And she gave birth to a son, who was to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her son was caught up to God and to His throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place prepared by God. And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ have come.”

Léctio Epístolæ primæ beáti Pauli apóstoli ad Corínthios (15 , 20-26)

Fratres: Christus resurréxit a mórtuis, primítiæ dormiéntium.
Brethren: Christ has been raised from the dead, as the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For just as death came through one man, so also the resurrection of the dead comes through one man. And just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be made aliveeach in his own order: Christ as the firstfruits, then those who belong to Christ, who have believed in his coming. Then will come the end, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, after he hath destroyed every rule, every authority, and every power. But he must reign until he (the Father) has put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed will be death; for God has put all things under his feet.

In those days, Mary rising up, went unto the hill country with speed into a city of Juda. And she entered into the house of Zacharie, and saluted Elizabeth. And it came to pass; as Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the infant did leap in her womb. And Elizabeth was replenished with the Holy Ghost: and she cried out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord doth come to me? For behold as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the infant in my womb did leap for joy. And Blessed is she that believed because those things shall be accomplished that were spoken to her by our Lord. And Mary said: MY Soul doth magnify our Lord: And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; for behold from hence forth all generations shall call me blessed. Because he that is mighty hath done great things to me: and holy is his name. And his mercy from generation unto generations, to them that fear him. He hath shewed might in his arm: he hath dispersed the proud in the conceit of their heart. He hath deposed the mighty from their seat, & hath exalted the humble. The hungry he hath filled with good things: and the rich he hath sent away empty. He hath received Israel his child, being mindful of his mercy, As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham and his seed for ever. And Mary tarried with her about three months: and she returned into her house.

   Preface
   De gloria Mariæ Assumptæ
On the Glory of the Assumption of Mary
Verily, it is right and just, fair and salutary for us, evermore and everywhere, to give thee thanks: Lord, Holy Father, eternal and almighty God, through Christ our Lord.
For today the Virgin Mother of God has been assumed into heaven, the beginning and image of the Church yet to be perfected, and for the pilgrim people, a sign of sure hope and consolation; indeed, Thou didst not will that she should experience the corruption of the tomb, she who ineffably brought forth from her womb Thy Son, the author of all life.
Et ídeo, choris angélicis sociáti, te laudámus, in gáudio confiténtes:
That is wherefore, together with the angelic choirs, we praise Thou, confessing with joy.
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus Dóminus Deus Sábaoth...
