From Zion appears the radiance of His beauty. God will come visibly; * He, our God, and He shall not be silent.

ignis consúmens est in conspéctu eius * et in circúitu eius tempéstas válida.

But God said unto the sinner, Wherefore do thou list My statutes, and wherefore do thou hast My covenant constantly in thy mouth?

Tu vero odísti disciplínam * et proiecísti sermónes meos retrórsum.

Thou who hate discipline, and who have cast My words behind thou.

Si vidébas furem, currébas cum eo; * et cum adúlteris erat pórtio tua.

If thou sawest a thief, thou ranst with him, and thou put thy share with the adulterers.

Os tuum dimittébas ad malítiam, * et língua tua concinnábat dolos.

Thy mouth was filled with malice, and thy tongue plotted fraud.

Sedens advérsus fratrem tuum loquebáris * et advérsus fílium matris tuæ proferébas oppróbrium.

Thou wouldst sit down to speak against thy brother, and thou wouldst set traps against thy mother's son.

Hæc fecísti, et tácui. † Existimásti quod eram tui símilis. * Arguam te et státuam illa contra fáciem tuam.

This is what thou didst, and I was silent. Thou ungodly believed that I would be like thou. I will rebuke thou, and I will put everything before thy eyes.

Intellégite hæc, qui obliviscímini Deum, * nequándo rápiam, et non sit qui erípiat.

Understand these things, thou who forget God; lest He tear apart, and no one can deliver.

Qui immolábit sacrifícium laudis, honorificábit me, † et, qui immaculátus est in via, * osténdam illi salutáre Dei».

The sacrifice of praise is that which will honor Me, and this is the way by which I will show man the salvation of God.
