Deus, qui Fílio tuo in Bethániæ domo dilectiónem amíci, ministrántis sedulitátem, audiéntis diligéntiam comparásti, † da nos eídem Magístro et meditatiónis ardóre et opéribus semper caritátis hærére, ut óculis suis acceptábiles in suæ nos tandem domum beatitúdinis introdúcat. Qui tecum.
God, who in the house of Bethany granted Thy Son the affection of a friend, the devotion of a servant, and the attentiveness of a listener, grant that we may evermore remain devoted unto the same Master through fervent meditation and works of charity, so that, finding us pleasing in His sight, He may finally bring us into the dwelling place of His bliss.
Lectio I
Dearly beloved, let us love one another, for charity is of God. And every one that loveth, is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God: for God is charity. By this hath the charity of God appeared towards us, because God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we may live by him. In this is charity: not as though we had loved God, but because he hath first loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins. My dearest, if God hath so loved us; we also ought to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abideth in us, and his charity is perfected in us. In this we know that we abide in him, and he in us: because he hath given us of his spirit. And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father hath sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abideth in him, and he in God. And we have known, and have believed the charity, which God hath to us. God is charity: and he that abideth in charity, abideth in God, and God in him.

Léctio libri Exodi (40,16-21.34-38)
In diébus illis: Fecítque Móyses ómnia, quæ præcéperat ei Dóminus: sic fecit.

Second Preface of the Saints
De actione Sanctorum
On the Deeds of the Saints
Dici potest in memoriis Sanctorum.
The following preface is used in Masses “of All Saints,” for the patron saints and titular saints of the church, and on the solemnities and feasts of the saints, unless a more appropriate preface is to be used. It may also be used on the memorials of the saints.
It is verily right and just, fair and fitting, to give thee thanks evermore and everywhere: Lord, holy Father, eternal and almighty God, through Christ our Lord.
For through the admirable witness of thy saints, thou enrich thy Church with ever-renewed virtue, and thou givest us the surest proofs of thy love. Moreover, in the fulfillment of the mysteries of salvation, we are inspired by their outstanding example and continually supported by their devout intercession.
That is wherefore, Lord, together with the angels and all the saints, we confess thou, saying with joy:

Seeing Lazarus' sisters weeping near the tomb, the Lord wept before the Jews and exclaimed, "Lazarus, come outside." And he came forward, bound hand and foot, having been dead for four days.

Córporis et Sánguinis Unigéniti tui sacra percéptio, Dómine, ab ómnibus nos cadúcis rebus avértat, ut, exémplo beátæ Marthæ, Maríæ, at Lázari, valeámus tibi et sincéra in terris caritáte profícere, et tui perpétua in cælis visióne gaudére.
May the sacred reception of the Body and Blood of Thy only Son, Lord, may turn us away from all that is perishable, so that, following the example of Blessed Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, we may grow in sincere charity for thee on earth, and enjoy the eternal vision of thee in heaven.
