Lectio brevis (Ap 21, 1 a. 2-3. 22. 27)
Vidi civitátem sanctam Ierúsalem novam descendéntem de cælo a Deo, parátam sicut sponsam ornátam viro suo.
I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, adorned like a bride dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people; and God Himself will be with them and be their God. I saw no temple there, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. Naught unclean will enter it, nor anyone who practices abomination or falsehood, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”
