Let us pray with all our brethren, united in prayer, bless God and ask:
Osténde nobis, Dómine, misericórdiam tuam.
Show us, Lord, Thy mercy.
Pater sancte, orámus te pro iis, qui te ratiónis tantum lúmine cognóscunt,
Holy Father, we pray to Thee for those who know Thee only by the light of reason,
— ut étiam Evangélii Fílii tui luce diténtur.
- that they too may be enriched by the light of Thy Son's Gospel.
Réspice omnes, qui extra Ecclésiam degéntes liberatiónem ab humánæ condiciónis angústiis quærunt,
Behold at all those who live outside the Church and seek liberation from the anguish of the human condition,
— ut Christum viam, veritátem et vitam invéniant.
- so that they may discover in Christ the way, the truth and the life.
Adiuva hómines, qui religiónem suam sincére colunt,
Help men who sincerely practice their religion,
— ut in admirábile lumen Christi tui pervéniant.
- that they may come unto the marvelous light of Thy Christ.
Purífica semper corda fidélium,
Evermore purify the hearts of the faithful,
— ut te clárius usque perspíciant.
- so they can behold thou more clearly.
Tuam manifésta misericórdiam in defúnctis:
Show mercy unto the departed:
— eos índue glória electórum tuórum.
- clothe them with the glory of Thy chosen ones.
