De mysterio Sanctissimæ Trinitatis.
On the Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity.
Vere dignum et iustum est, æquum et salutáre, nos tibi semper et ubíque grátias ágere: Dómine, sancte Pater, omnípotens ætérne Deus:
Verily, it is right and just, equitable and salutary for us, evermore and everywhere, to give thee thanks: Lord, Holy Father, eternal and almighty God:
Qui cum Unigénito Fílio tuo et Spíritu Sancto unus es Deus, unus es Dóminus: non in uníus singularitáte persónæ, sed in uníus Trinitáte substántiæ. Quod enim de tua glória, revelánte te, crédimus, hoc de Fílio tuo, hoc de Spíritu Sancto, sine discretióne sentímus.
Together with Thy only Son and the Holy Spirit, Thou art one God, one Lord—not in the unity of a single person, but in the Trinity of a single substance. For what we believe concerning Thy glory, based on Thy revelation of Thy Son and the Holy Spirit, we also believe without any difference.
Ut, in confessióne veræ sempiternǽque Deitátis, et in persónis propríetas, et in esséntia únitas, et in maiestáte adorétur æquálitas.
Thus, acknowledging the true and eternal Divinity, we worship both the distinctness of the Persons, the unity of the essence, and the equality of majesty.
