De mirabilibus Dei in martyrum victoria
God's Wonders in the Martyrs' Victory
Vere dignum et iustum est, æquum et salutáre, nos tibi semper et ubíque grátias ágere: Dómine, sancte Pater, omnípotens ætérne Deus:
It is verily right and just, fair and salutary, to give thee thanks evermore and everywhere: Lord, holy Father, eternal and almighty God:
Quóniam tu magnificáris in tuórum laude Sanctórum, et quidquid ad eórum pértinet passiónem, tuæ sunt ópera miránda poténtiæ: qui huius fídei tríbuis cleménter ardórem, qui súggeris perseverántiæ firmitátem, qui largíris in agóne victóriam, per Christum Dóminum nostrum.
for thee are glorified in the praise of Thy saints, and everything related to their passion is the wondrous work of Thy power: it is Thou who graciously grant the fervor of this faith, Thou who inspire steadfast perseverance, Thou who bestow victory in battle, through Christ our Lord.
Propter quod cæléstia tibi atque terréstria cánticum novum cóncinunt adorándo, et nos cum omni exércitu Angelórum proclamámus, sine fine dicéntes:
That is wherefore the heavenly and earthly creatures sing a new song unto thee as they worship Thou, and we, too, together with the entire host of angels, proclaim without end, saying:
