De salvatione hominis per hominem
A man's greeting to another man.
Vere dignum et iustum est, æquum et salutáre, nos tibi semper et ubíque grátias ágere: Dómine, sancte Pater, omnípotens ætérne Deus:
It is right and just, and it is our duty and our salvation, to give thee thanks at all times and in all places, Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God.
Ad cuius imménsam glóriam pertinére cognóscimus ut mortálibus tua deitáte succúrreres; sed et nobis providéres de ipsa mortalitáte nostra remédium, et pérditos quosque unde períerant, inde salváres, per Christum Dóminum nostrum.
For we acknowledge as the work of Thy wondrous power not only that Thou hast come unto the aid of mortals through Thy divinity, but also that Thou hast provided a remedy for our human condition, and have turned what was our ruin into our salvation, through Christ, our Lord.
Per quem maiestátem tuam adórat exércitus Angelórum, ante conspéctum tuum in æternitáte lætántium. Cum quibus et nostras voces ut admítti iúbeas, deprecámur, sócia exsultatióne dicéntes:
Through Him, the host of angels worships Thy majesty and rejoices eternally in Thy presence. Let us join their voices to sing Thy praise with them, saying with exultation:
