On Creation
Vere dignum et iustum est, æquum et salutáre, nos tibi semper et ubíque grátias ágere: Dómine, sancte Pater, omnípotens ætérne Deus:
It is right and just, and it is our duty and our salvation, to give thee thanks at all times and in all places, Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God.
Qui ómnia mundi eleménta fecísti, et vices disposuísti témporum variári; hóminem vero formásti ad imáginem tuam, et rerum ei subiecísti univérsa mirácula, ut vicário múnere dominarétur ómnibus quæ creásti, et in óperum tuórum magnálibus iúgiter te laudáret, per Christum Dóminum nostrum.
for thee have created the entire universe and established the ceaseless cycle of the seasons, and to humankind, formed in Thy image and likeness, Thou hast subjected the wonders of the world, so that in Thy name, they may rule over creation. And, contemplating Thy greatness, he may praise Thou at all times, through Christ our Lord.
Unde et nos cum ómnibus Angelis te laudámus, iucúnda celebratióne clamántes:
That is wherefore we praise Thou together with all the angels, joyfully acclaiming Thou:
