Brethren : For as the body is one, and hath many members; and all the members of the body, whereas they are many, yet are one body, so also is Christ. For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free; and in one Spirit we have all been made to drink. For the body also is not one member, but many. If the foot should say, because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body ? Sanctificávit Móyses altáre Dómino, ófferens super illud holocáusta, et ímmolans víctimas: fecit sacrifícium vespertínum in odórem suavitátis Dómino Deo, in conspéctu filiórum Israël.
MOSES consecrated an altar to the Lord, offering upon it holocausts, and sacrificing victims: he made an evening sacrifice to the Lord God for an odor of sweetness, in the sight of the children of Israel.

Stans postea in medio altaris, versus ad populum, extendens et iungens manus, dicit:
After this, standing in the center of the altar, facing the people, extending and then joining his hands, he said:
Oráte, fratres, ut meum ac vestrum sacrifícium acceptábile fiat apud Deum Patrem omnipoténtem.
Pray, brethren, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father.
