Cum audísset Iob nuntiórum verba, sustínuit patiénter et ait: Si bona suscépimus de manu Dómini, mala autem quare non sustineámus? In ómnibus his non peccávit Iob lábiis suis, neque stultum áliquid contra Dem locútus est.
When Job heard the words of the messengers, he bore it patiently and said: If we receive good things from God, wherefore should we not bear evil? In all this, Job did not sin in word, nor did he utter aught foolish against the Lord.
