The world is waiting for the Church to become a society of praise once again

It is strongly recommended that the traditional form of gathering of the local Church in the manner of the Roman "stations" be preserved and encouraged, at least in the larger cities and in a manner appropriate to each place, especially during the Lenten season.
These assemblies of the faithful may meet, especially under the presidency of the Pastor of the diocese, on Sundays or other more opportune days of the week, either at the tombs of the Saints, or in the principal churches or shrines of the city, or in some of the most frequented places of pilgrimage in the diocese.
If before the Mass celebrated at these gatherings, depending on the circumstances of the place and situation, a procession takes place, then a collection is made in a minor church or other suitable place, outside the church to which the procession is headed.
After the greeting of the people, the priest says the prayer of the collection of the mystery of the Holy Cross, either for the remission of sins, or for the Church, especially local, or one of the prayers over the people. Then, the procession unto the church where the Mass will be celebrated is ordered, whilst the litanies of the Saints are sung. However, invocations unto the Patron Saint or unto the Founder and Saints of the local Church may be inserted in an appropriate place.
When the procession arrives at the church, the priest venerates the altar and, if appropriate, incenses it. Then, omitting the initial rites and, if appropriate, the Kyrie, he pronounces the collection of the Mass, which then continues in the usual way.
  2. In iis congregationibus, loco Missæ, haberi potest etiam aliqua celebratio verbi Dei, præsertim ad modum celebrationum pænitentialium, quæ pro tempore Quadragesimæ in Rituali Romano propo- nuntur.
In these gatherings, instead of Mass, one can also have a celebration of the Word of God, especially in the manner of the penitential celebrations, which are proposed for the time of Lent in the Roman Ritual.
  3. In feriis huius temporis opportune adhiberi potest, in fine Missæ, ante benedictionem finalem, oratio super populum, pro unoquoque die ponitur.
During the weekdays of this time, it is expedient to use, at the end of Mass, before the final blessing, the prayer over the people, which is indicated for each day.
During this time, it is forbidden to adorn the altar with flowers and the sound of instruments is only allowed to support the singing. However, Lætare Sunday (fourth Sunday of Lent) and solemnities and feasts are excepted.
This Sunday is celebrated the rite of "election" or inscription of the names of the catechumens who will be admitted unto the sacraments of Christian initiation in the Easter Vigil, if necessary, with their own prayers and intercessions.
