God, who adorned Blessed Peter Julian with admirable love for the holy mysteries of the body and blood of thy Son, grant us with kindness that what he received from this divinity as fatty food, we also deserved to receive.
   Lectio I

Word of the Lord. r. Let us give thanks to God.

   Lectio I

   Léctio libri Ieremíæ prophétæ (15,10.16-21)

Væ mihi, mater mea, quóniam genuísti me virum rixæ et virum discórdiæ in univérsa terra! Non sedi in concílio ludéntium et gloriátus sum; a fácie manus tuæ solus sedébam, quóniam indignatióne replésti me.

Manéte in me, et ego in vobis. Sicut palmes non potest ferre fructum a semetípso, nisi mánserit in vite, sic nec vos, nisi in me manséritis. Ego sum vitis, vos pálmites. Qui manet in me, et ego in eo, hic fert fructum multum, quia sine me nihil potéstis fácere.

At that time, Jesus said to the crowds: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field. Which a man having found, did hide it, and for joy thereof goeth, and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again the Kingdom of Heaven is like to a merchant man, seeking good pearls. And having found one precious pearl, he went his way, and sold all that he had, and bought it".

   PRÆFATIO I DE SANCTIS
   FIRST PREFACE OF THE SAINTS
   De gloria Sanctorum
On the Glory of the Saints
Verily, it is worthy and just, equitable and salutary, for us, evermore and everywhere to give thee thanks: Eternal and Almighty God :
for thee are glorified in the assembly of the saints, and by crowning their merits, Thou crown Thy own gifts. In their lives, Thou provide us with a model; in communion with them, a family; and in their intercession, support; so that, sustained by so many witnesses, we may run the race set before us unto the end and receive with them the imperishable crown of glory, through Christ our Lord.
That is wherefore, together with the angels and archangels, as well as the multitude of saints, we sing a hymn of praise unto thee, repeating without ceasing:
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus Dóminus Deus Sábaoth...
