Deum, corónam sanctórum ómnium, gaudénter deprecémur:
Let us joyfully beg God, who is the crown of all saints.
Per intercessiónem sanctórum salva nos, Dómine.
Through the intercession of the saints, save us, Lord.
Deus sapientíssime, qui Apóstolos per Christum fundaméntum Ecclésiæ constituísti,
O God, through Thy Son Jesus Christ, Thou hast built Thy Church on the foundation of the apostles,
— serva fidéles tuos in eórum doctrína.
— keep Thy faithful in their doctrine.
Qui martyribus fortitúdinem testimónii usque ad effusiónem sánguinis dedísti,
Thou madest the martyrs powerful witnesses unto the shedding of their blood,
— redde christiános testes fidéles Fílii tui.
— make Christians witnesses of Thy Son.
Qui sanctis virgínibus donum insígne dedísti Christum vírginem imitándi,
Thou gavest holy virgins the gift of imitating Christ's virginity,
— iísdem concéde, ut virginitátem tibi consecrátam peculiáre signum cæléstium bonórum agnóscant.
— grant them to make virginity consecrated to Thee the heavenly sign of Thy particular goodness.
Qui in sanctis ómnibus præséntiam, vultum et verbum tuum maniféstas,
Thou who manifest in all the saints Thy presence, Thy face and Thy word,
— tríbue fidélibus ut, eos coléndo, tibi propinquióres se esse séntiant.
— give the faithful, through their imitation, a sense of closeness to Thee.
Defúnctis concéde, ut cum beáta María Vírgine, beáto Ioseph et ómnibus sanctis perénniter hábitent,
Grant that the deceased may dwell forevermore with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Blessed Joseph and all the saints,
— atque per intercessiónem eórum idem cæléste consórtium nobis largíre.
— and through their intercession give us a place in heaven without their company.
