The world is waiting for the Church to become a society of praise once again

Feria III 17 Decembris 2024, Hebdomada III Adventus,
  v. Deus, ✠ in adiutórium meum inténde.
  v. O God, come to my assistance;
  r. Dómine, ad adiuvándum me festína.
  r. O Lord, make haste to help me.
  Glória Patri, et Fílio, et Spirítui Sancto. Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc et semper, et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
  Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
  Allelúia.

  Hymnus
  Verbum salútis ómnium, Patris ab ore pródiens, Virgo beáta, súscipe casto, María, víscere.
The Savior of all men, the Word, Who from the Father's mouth proceeds, Within your womb, O Virgin blest, We humbly beg you to receive.
  Te nunc illústrat cælitus umbra fecúndi Spíritus, gestes ut Christum Dóminum, æquálem Patri Fílium.
The Spirit overshadows you, His fruitful work has now begun, That you might bring forth Christ the Lord, The Father's coeternal Son.
  Hæc est sacráti iánua templi seráta iúgiter, soli suprémo Príncipi pandens beáta límina.
Behold the sacred temple's gate, Remaining sealed for years unknown; Its blessed threshold fastened tight Would open for the Prince alone.
  Olim promíssus vátibus, natus ante lucíferum, quem Gábriel annúntiat, terris descéndit Dóminus.
Of old the prophets held his pledge; Before the dawn he had his birth; Now Gabriel proclaims to you: The Lord descends unto the earth.
  Læténtur simul ángeli, omnes exsúltent pópuli: excélsus venit húmilis salváre quod períerat.
Let angels then exult as well And all the nations leap for joy; The Most High comes in lowliness To save what sin had once destroyed.
Amen.
To thee, O Christ, our gracious king, And to thy Father, glory be, Who with the Spirit Paraclete Forever reign in majesty.
  Ant. 1.
  Ant. 1. The Lord will come out of His holy place; He shall come to save His people.
  Psalmus 124 (125)
Psalm 124 (125)
  Dominus custos populi sui
The Lord cares for his people
  Pax super Israel Dei (Gal 6, 16).
God's peace over Israel (Gal 6:16).
  They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Sion: he shall not be moved for ever that dwelleth in Jerusalem.
  Mountains are round about it: so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth now and for ever.
  For the Lord will not leave the rod of sinners upon the lot of the just: that the just may not stretch forth their hands to iniquity.
  Bénefac, Dómine, bonis * et rectis corde.
  Do good, O Lord, to those that are good, and to the upright of heart.
* Pax super Israel !
  But such as turn aside into bonds, the Lord shall lead out with the workers of iniquity: peace upon Israel.
  Glória Patri, et Fílio, * et Spirítui Sancto.
  Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
  Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc et semper, * et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
  As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, and ever shall be. Amen.

  Ant. The Lord will come out of His holy place; He shall come to save His people.
  Ant. 2. Urbs fortitúdinis nostræ Sion, Salvátor ponétur in ea murus et antemurále; aperíte portas, quia nobíscum Deus, allelúia.
  Ant. 2. Zion is the city of our strength; the Savior will be in her as her wall and her forewall: open the gates, for God is with us, hallelujah.
  Psalmus 130 (131)
Psalm 130 (131)
  Quasi parvuli fiducia in Domino collocata
Childlike trust in the Lord
  Discite a me, quia mitis sum et humilis corde (Mt 11, 29).
Learn from Me that I am gentle and humble of heart (Mt 11:29).
  O Lord, my heart is not exalted: nor are my eyes lofty.
  neque ambulávi in magnis, * neque in mirabílibus super me.
  Neither have I walked in great matters, nor in wonderful things above me.
  Vere pacátam et quiétam * feci ánimam meam;
  If I was not humbly minded, but exalted my soul:
  sicut ablactátus in sinu matris suæ, * sicut ablactátus, ita in me est ánima mea.
  As a child that is weaned is towards his mother, so reward in my soul.
  Let Israel hope in the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.
Amen.

  Ant. Zion is the city of our strength; the Savior will be in her as her wall and her forewall: open the gates, for God is with us, hallelujah.
  Ant. 3. Ut cognoscámus, Domine, in terra viam tuam, in ómnibus géntibus salutáre tuum.
  Ant. 3. That we may know, O Lord, Thy way on earth, and Thy salvation on all nations.

Redeemer's hymn
  Dignus es, Dómine et Deus noster, * accípere glóriam et honórem et virtútem,
  Thou art worthy, Lord our God, to receive honor, glory, and power.
  It is Thou who created the universe; Thou wanted it to be: it was created.
  Thou art worthy, Christ and Lord, to take the Book and open its seals.
  For Thou wast slain, redeeming for God, at the price of Thy blood, men of every tribe, language, people, and nation.
  et fecísti eos Deo nostro regnum et sacerdótes, * et regnábunt super terram.
  Thou hast made us a kingdom and priests for our God, and we will reign on earth.
  It is worthy, the slain Lamb, to receive power and riches, wisdom and strength, honor, glory and praise.
Amen.

  Responsorium breve
  r. Osténde nobis, Dómine, * Misericórdiam tuam. Osténde. v. Et salutáre tuum da nobis. * Misericórdiam tuam. Glória Patri. Osténde.
  r. Show us, Lord, * Thy mercy. Show us. v. And give us Thy salvation, * Thy mercy. Glory unto the Father. Show us.
  Ant. O Sapiéntia, quæ ex ore Altíssimi prodísti, attíngens a fine usque ad finem, fórtiter suavitérque dispónens ómnia: veni ad docéndum nos viam prudéntiæ.
  Ant. O Wisdom from the mouth of the Most High, who envelops all things from pole to pole and arranges them with strength and gentleness, teach us the path of prudence.
  Canticum Evangelicum (Lc 1, 46-55)
  Exultatio animæ in Domino

  Fecit poténtiam in bráchio suo, * dispérsit supérbos mente cordis sui;

  depósuit poténtes de sede * et exaltávit húmiles;

  Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
  Sicut erat in princípio, et nunc et semper, * et in sǽcula sæculórum. Amen.
  As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, and ever shall be. Amen.
  Preces

  Pater noster
  Pater noster, qui es in cælis:
Our Father, who art in heaven,
  sanctificétur nomen tuum;
Hallowed be thy name.
  advéniat regnum tuum;
Thy kingdom come.
  fiat volúntas tua, sicut in cælo et in terra.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
  Panem nostrum cotidiánum da nobis hódie;
Give us this day our daily bread.
  et dimítte nobis débita nostra,
And forgive us our trespasses,
  sicut et nos dimíttimus debitóribus nostris;
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
  et ne nos indúcas in tentatiónem;
and do not abandon us in trial;
  sed líbera nos a malo.
But deliver us from evil.
After this the proper prayer is said straightway and without "Let us pray", with the long conclusion.
  Deus, humánæ cónditor et redémptor natúræ, qui Verbum tuum in útero perpétuæ virginitátis carnem assúmere voluísti, réspice propítius ad preces nostras, * ut Unigénitus tuus, nostra humanitáte suscépta, nos divíno suo consórtio sociáre dignétur. Per Dóminum.
  God, the creator and redeemer of human nature, who willed that thy Word should become flesh in the womb of an ever-virgin mother, behold kindly at our prayers, that thy only Son, after having taken on our humanity, may make us partakers of his divinity.
  Dóminus vobíscum.
  The Lord be with thee.
  r. Et cum spíritu tuo.
  r. And with thy spirit.
  Benedícat vos omnípotens Deus, Pater, ✠ et Fílius, et Spíritus Sanctus.
  May God Almighty bless thee, the Father, ✠ and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
  r. Amen.
  r. Amen.
  Vel alia formula benedictionis, sicut in Missa.
Or another formula of blessing, as at Mass.
  Et si fit dimissio, sequitur invitatio:
And if we make a referral, we add the invitation:
  v. Ite in pace. r. Deo grátias.
  v. Go in peace. r. Let us give thanks to God.
  Absente sacerdote vel diacono, et in recitatione a solo, sic concluditur:
In the absence of a deacon or a priest, and in the recitation alone, it is concluded thus:
   Dóminus nos benedícat, et ab omni malo deféndat, et ad vitam perdúcat ætérnam. r. Amen.
  May the Lord bless us, forbid us from all evil, and bring us to eternal life. r. Amen.
