When the Lord brought back the captivity of Sion, * we became like men comforted.

We pray, Lord, that Thou shalt behold with pity on Thy family, for whom our Lord Jesus Christ did not refuse to give Himself into the hands of the wicked, and to suffer the torment of the cross.
