Lectio I
I beheld till thrones were set, and the ancient of days sat: his vesture white as snow, and the hairs of his head as clean wool: his throne flames of fire: his wheels fire kindled. Afire & swift stream came forth from his face: thousands of thousands ministered to him, & ten thousand hundred thousands assisted him: judgement sat, and the books were opened. I beheld therefore in the vision of the night, and lo with the clouds of heaven there came in, as it were the son of man, and he came even to the ancient of days: and in his sight they offered him. And he gave him power, and honour, and kingdom: and all peoples, tribes, & tongues shall serve him: his power, an eternal power, that shall not be taken away: and his kingdom, that shall not be corrupted.

Lectio I
2 Petr 1,16-19
Caríssimi: Non captiósas fábulas secúti notam fécimus vobis Dómini nostri Iesu Christi virtútem et advéntum, sed speculatóres facti illíus magnitúdinis. Accípiens enim a Deo Patre honórem et glóriam, voce proláta ad eum huiuscémodi a magnífica glória: “ Fílius meus, diléctus meus hic est, in quo ego mihi complácui ”; et hanc vocem nos audívimus de cælo prolátam, cum essémus cum ipso in monte sancto. Et habémus firmiórem prophéticum sermónem, cui bene fácitis attendéntes quasi lucérnæ lucénti in caliginóso loco, donec dies illucéscat, et lúcifer oriátur in córdibus vestris.
Beloved, it is not having followed unlearned fables, have we made the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ known to you: but made beholders of his greatness. For, he receiving from God his Father honour and glory, this manner of voice coming down to him from the magnifical glory, This is my beloved Son in whom I have pleased myself, hear him. And this voice we heard brought from heaven, when we were with him in the holy mount. And we have the Prophetical word more sure: which you do well attending unto, as to a candle shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, & the day-star arise in your hearts:
Verbum Dómini. r. Deo grátias.
Word of the Lord. r. Let us give thanks to God.

A that time, Jesus taketh unto him Peter, and James, & John his brother, & bringeth them into a high mountain apart: And he was transfigured before them. And his face did shine as the sun: & his garments became white as snow. And behold there appeared to them Moyses and Elias talking with him. And Peter answering, said to Jesus: Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moyses, and one for Elias. And as he was yet speaking, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them. And lo a voice out of the cloud, saying: This is my wellbeloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear ye him. And the Disciples hearing it, fell upon their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them: and he said to them: Arise, and fear not. And they lifting up their eyes, saw nobody, but only Jesus. And as they descended from the mount, Jesus commanded them, saying: Tell the vision to nobody, till the Son of man be risen from the dead.

Glória et honóre coronásti eum: et constituísti eum super ópera mánuum tuárum, Dómine.
Thou crowned him with glory and honor, and established him over the works of Thy hands.
Super oblata
After this, standing in the center of the altar, facing the people, extending and then joining his hands, he said:
Pray, brethren, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father.
Populus surgit et respondet:
The people rise and reply:
May the Lord accept the sacrifice at thy hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.
Obláta múnera, quǽsumus, Dómine, gloriósa Unigéniti tui Transfiguratióne sanctífica, nosque a peccatórum máculis, splendóribus ipsíus illustratiónis, emúnda. Per Christum.
We pray, O Lord, that Thou may sanctify the gifts offered unto thee through the glorious Transfiguration of Thy only Son, and purify us from the stains of sin through the splendor of His own radiance.

De mysterio Transfigurationis.
On the Mystery of the Transfiguration.
It is verily right and just, good and fitting, that we give thee thanks evermore and everywhere: Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God, through Christ our Lord.
He revealed His glory before the chosen witnesses, and, in the greatest splendor, He imbued this ordinary form with the rest of the body, so that the scandal of the cross might be erased from the hearts of the disciples, and so that it might be proclaimed throughout the whole body of the Church that what had been so wonderfully foreshadowed in His Head was about to be fulfilled.
Et ídeo cum cælórum Virtútibus in terris te iúgiter celebrámus, maiestáti tuæ sine fine clamántes:
And so, together with the heavenly virtues, we ceaselessly give thee glory here on earth, proclaiming Thy majesty without ceasing:
