Lectio I
He who keeps the law multiplies his offerings; the sacrifice of salvation consists in keeping the commandments. He who returns kindness offers a grain offering, and he who gives alms offers a sacrifice of praise. It is pleasing to the Lord to turn away from iniquity, and to implore forgiveness of sins is to turn away from injustice. You shall not come before the Lord empty-handed: for all these things are done because of God's commandment. The offering of the righteous enriches the altar, and its fragrance is pleasing in the sight of the Most High; the sacrifice of the righteous is accepted, and the Lord will not forget its remembrance.Give glory to God with a cheerful eye and do not diminish the firstfruits of your hands; in every gift let your face be joyful and sanctify your tithes with joy; Give to the Most High according to his gift and, with a kind eye, to the work of your hands, for the Lord is a rewarder and will repay you sevenfold.Do not offer evil gifts, for he will not accept them; and do not trust in an unjust sacrifice, for the Lord is a judge, and with him there is no partiality.

Vos estis lux mundi.
