Quámdiu in terris dégimus, pæniténtiam agámus. Lutum quippe sumus in manu artíficis. Quemádmodum enim fígulus, si vas fécerit illúdque in mánibus eius distórtum fúerit aut contrítum, rursus illud refíngit, sin vero illud in fornácem ignis míttere præfiníverit, non ámplius ei succúrret: ita et nos, quámdiu in hoc mundo sumus, peccatórum, quæ in carne géssimus, ex toto corde pæniténtiam agámus, ut a Dómino salvémur, dum pæniténtiæ tempus habémus.
