Lectio brevis (Ap 21, 10. 23)
Sústulit me ángelus in spíritu super montem magnum et altum et osténdit mihi civitátem sanctam Ierúsalem descendéntem de cælo a Deo. Et cívitas non eget sole neque luna, ut lúceant ei, nam cláritas Dei illuminávit eam, et lucérna eius est Agnus.
The angel carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. The city has no need of the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God illuminates it, and the Lamb is its light.
