Léctio Epístolæ beáti Pauli apóstoli ad Romános (13,8-10)
Fratres: Némini quidquam debeátis, nisi ut ínvicem diligátis: qui enim díligit próximum, legem implévit. Nam: Non adulterábis, Non occídes, Non furáberis, Non concupísces, et si quod est áliud mandátum, in hoc verbo recapitulátur: Díliges próximum tuum tamquam teípsum. Diléctio próximo malum non operátur; plenitúdo ergo legis est diléctio.
Brethren: Owe no man any thing: but that you love one another. For he that loveth his neighbour, hath fulfilled the law. For, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is comprised in this word, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The love of thy neighbour, worketh no evil. Love therefore is the fullness of the Law.
