Léctio libri Ezechiélis prophétæ (43,1-7a)
Duxit me ad portam, quæ respiciébat ad viam orientálem, et ecce glória Dei Israel ingrediebátur per viam orientálem, et vox erat ei quasi vox aquárum multárum, et terra splendébat a maiestáte eíus. Et vidi visiónem secúndum spéciem, quam víderam, quando venit, ut dispérderet civitátem, et spécies secúndum aspéctum, quem víderam iúxta flúvium Chobar; et cécidi super fáciem meam. Et maiéstas Dómini ingréssa est templum per viam portæ, quæ respiciébat ad oriéntem. Et levávit me spíritus et introdúxit me in átrium intérius; et ecce repléta erat glória Dómini domus. Et audívi loquéntem ad me de domo, cum vir staret iúxta me, et dixit ad me: “Fili hóminis, locus sólii mei et locus vestigiórum pedum meórum, ubi habitábo in médio filiórum Israel in ætérnum.
He led me unto the gate facing east. And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was coming from the east. His voice was like the sound of rushing waters, and the earth shone with His glory. This vision was like the one I had when I came to destroy the city; and these visions were like the one I had by the Kebar River. And I fell on my face. The glory of the Lord entered the temple through the gate on the eastern side. Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court. And behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. I heard someone speaking unto me from within the house, and a man was standing beside me. He said unto me, ‘Son of man, this is the place of My throne, the place where I will set the soles of My feet; I will dwell there forevermore amongst the people of Israel.’
