Feria II 24 Augustii 2026, Hebdomada XXI per annum,
Præfatio I de beata Maria Virgine

   De Maternitate beatæ Mariæ Virginis
On the Motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Vere dignum et iustum est, æquum et salutáre, nos tibi semper et ubíque grátias ágere: Dómine, sancte Pater, omnípotens ætérne Deus:
Verily, it is right and just, fair and salutary, for us evermore and everywhere to give thee thanks: Lord, Holy Father, almighty and eternal God, through Christ our Lord.
Et te in nativitáte beátæ Maríæ semper Vírginis collaudáre, benedícere et prædicáre. Quæ et Unigénitum tuum Sancti Spíritus obumbratióne concépit, et, virginitátis glória permanénte, lumen ætérnum mundo effúdit, Iesum Christum Dóminum nostrum.
And to praise Thou, bless Thou, and proclaim Thou on the occasion of the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, ever Virgin. For she conceived Thy only Son through the work of the Holy Spirit and, without losing the glory of her virginity, brought eternal light unto the world: Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Per quem maiestátem tuam laudant Angeli, adórant Dominatiónes, tremunt Potestátes. Cæli cælorúmque Virtútes, ac beáta Séraphim, sócia exsultatióne concélebrant.
Through Him, the angels praise Thy majesty, the principalities worship Thou, and the powers tremble. The heavens of heavens, the virtues, and the blessed seraphim celebrate Thou, united in exultation.
Cum quibus et nostras voces ut admítti iúbeas, deprecámur, súpplici confessióne dicéntes:
It is with them that our voices join in, so that we may be included, we implore Thou, humbly singing Thy praises:
